Sometimes skirts are just a little too short, and you sometimes might only find this out after wearing it for a few times. Based on the design it may just ride up a little too much when you sit down or bend over. Easy fix is a skirt extender and with some lace on the bottom it can add variety to your wardrobe and dress up a otherwise plain skirt. Here we used the lace bottom of an orange tank top to add a pop of color. We sewed it onto an old slip.
First we measured the finished length we wanted the skirt extender to be, and we’ll adjust for different length skirts by wearing the skirt extender higher or lower on the waist.
Next we cut the bottom off the top – such lovely lace detail!
Next we pinned the two together – and then of coursed sewed but we were too excited to finish that we forgot to take a picture of that step but here it is ready to wear!
And here is is extending a dress.
So, what do you think ?
